Neuheit mit goldgelber Benadelung und dichten aufrechten Wuchs. Setzt sehr schöne Akzente in Heidegärten. Bildet eine wunderschönen Kontrast, wenn die Gold-Wacholder vor einer dunklen Kulisse gepflanzt werden.

Gold-Wacholder liebt einen sonnigen Standort in sandig-humosen Boden. Nasse Standorte sollten gemieden  werden. Unter durchschnittlichen Standortbedingungen beträgt der Jahreszuwachs 10 bis 20 cm. Es ist eine Endhöhe von 2 bis 3 m zu erwarten. Die Pflanzen brauchen wenig bis gar nicht geschnitten werden.
